1790s PONTILED GERMAN HALF POST BLOWN LIQUOR DECANTER WITH PERIOD STOPPER

Description

Here's a crude late 1700s pontiled "Half Post" blown decanter utility bottle with an early ground glass stopper from the same period.........Free blown with hand formed flat sides with a 2nd layer of glass (referred to by collectors as German Half Post).....there is a crude ring around shoulder where 2nd layer of glass ends....faint hand painted floral design around shoulder is faded.....rough glass pontil scar on bottom....clear flint glass....crude drippy out of round ring lip.....rect....8"tall (9 3/4"with stopper)....Excellent condition with no chips or damage.. The stopper is from the same late 1700s period but has a slight wobble. It has a surface bruise on ground base.  This was a liquor decanter or utility bottle blown in the late 1700s
