Here's an early Civil War era Voldner's Aromatic Schnapps bottle that we dug with pontiled bottles from an 1850s outhouse privy pit that was filled in before 1864 or so...

bold emb on 3 sides....hand blown in mold, bimal....early sunken smooth base that has a slight arcing line on edge like it may be pontiled??...but I'm selling the bottle as an 1860 smooth base......crude drippy applied collar...dark olive green blackglass....square....10"tall....Excellent condition with no chips or damage. A dug bottle with some light haze, which should easily tumble clean to near mint since the glass is not worn or pitted....We dug this nice bottle along with mostly pontiled bottles from an 1850s outhouse privy pit. ....We just cant keep everything, so after 50 years of digging and collecting we have decided to part with many of our bottles (to make room for more..haha)...so keep watching our listings as many rare treasures are being found!
