Gorgeous Antique 1890's Meredith's Diamond Club Pure Rye Whiskey Jug- Expressly For (Medicinal Use).
Condition is "Used". No chips or major cracks, beautiful shape. Does have light fading over letter “C” in Medicinal. Also underneath is a imperfection mark or flaw. I can feel it with my fingernail, but not sure if it goes all the way thru. It could be a small crack, but very small and odd shape if it is. (See last picture of flaw). Cork is stuck, so I can’t take it out. Fading to gold trim on handle and around top ring trim.
I see a few of these selling with big chips and cracks for a good price. This one is in wonderful shape for its age. Tempting to keep, but it’s not what I collect. Purchased at a local estate sale.
