The hearing aid wearer is able to adjust the sound of what they can hear through the TV or audio device but it will not affect the volume that others are listening at so everyone can enjoy the sound at a volume that’s comfortable for them. Compatibility with Hearing Aids: The Oticon TV adapter 3.0 is compatible with the following Oticon hearing aids, using a direct wireless connection: More Opn Engage Siya Xceed The TV adapter 3.0 needs to be placed on a flat surface close to the TV and in close range of the hearing aids, the TV adapter has a range of up to 15-meters. It is connected to the mains and to your TV or your chosen audio device. All connection required to setup the device is included within the purchase. For all other Oticon hearing aids before the above, including Nero, Alta & Ino you would require the Oticon TV Adapter 2.0, and the Oticon Streamer Pro to allow the audio to be received into the hearing aids successfully. If your hearing aid is not mentioned please feel free to get in touch and we will be happy to check the compatibility for you. Pairing: Pairing your hearing aids to the TV adapter, is only required once and takes around 20 to 60 seconds. Turn on the TV adapter and open and close the battery doors to your hearing aids. Place the hearing aids on top of the TV adapter. Pairing is completed when the Power indicator and TV indicator lights have shown blue for 30 seconds. Once paired the TV adaptor becomes a program in your hearing aid settings. Simply press your program change button on your hearing aids to find the TV program the order of this will depend on other programmes you may have already on your hearing aids. If unsure, please speak to your hear care provider. Once on the TV program the sound will stream to the hearing aids. To control the Volume of what you are hearing use the volume control switch on the hearing aids to increase or decrease the volume of what you are hearing. A Remote Control Can Help: If you struggle with using the control switches on the hearing aids an optional accessory would be the remote control, sold separately which gives you an easier way to control the volume and program change on your hearing aids. An App Could Be More Convenient: The Oticon ON app is an alternative way of controlling your hearing aids. The app can be downloaded for free on to an android smartphone, iPhone or iPad device this gives you control over your hearing aids through the app to be able to control program change and volume control.
