Mohawk Pottery Brown Cream Liquor Decanter w Stopper
We are pleased to offer this lovely MOHAWK LIQUOR/LIQUEUR decanter with cork stopper #R-4 manufactured by Uhl Pottery of
Hunnington Indiana. It is done in an art Deco style with chocolate brown bottom with horizontal ribbing and a smooth cream colored top portion and cream colored handle. It has its original chocolate brown round stopper with cork cushion - a very rare find. This color combination reminds us Oxford wares by Universal Pottery.
It was originally a Creme De Cacao bottle. It has its handle on the top with spout on the side like a tea kettle. This makes for an easy pour. It stands 6 3/4" tall and measures 7" in diameter from spout to handle.
Imprinted beneath the glaze on the bottom is "Mohawk Pottery Liquor", but it is very hard to see.
It has overall fine crazing from age. Otherwise it is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips or cracks. Just a highly collectible vintage American Art Pottery liquor jug that you are sure to want to add to your collection.
