Very Odd c.1880s West Coast 3 Part Whiskey Bottle - The Enigma! A+++ Condition!

I looked at the base and what did I see? Could that be a polished pontil staring at me? Hmmm... hence, The Enigma lol. Guys and gals, I have seen many many many bases in my times but I haven't seen anything like this on a colored 3 part whiskey. I am fairly certain that the bottle maker could be easily identified by one of the Western whiskey collectors out there by the base alone.
So... it's a true 3 part mold with a single piece for the cylinder and two additional pieces for the shoulders and neck. So what's with the base? Clearly an outline of a pontil. No, this is not machine made. Additionally, this has an applied brandy finish and lots of crudity bubble-wise with wavy whittle in the cylinder and fine vertical whittle from the shoulders up. Great color and Super Clean!
